Loop Degraded

I've been getting the following message during bootup on one of the servers (for both Host controller 1 and 2)

Trap-ID=16028

Host controller 2 status change.Status is now Loop Degraded.
====//

What does it mean by loop degraded? This server is not connected to a SAN. Server type is Proliant BL20p G3.
