Losing SA P812 array configurations after removing one of the disk arrays
Hi,
I have a DL180 server G6, with a P812 smart array controller running windows 2008 R2. It has two MSA 60s, two D2600s. and the local OS boot disk array connected to the controller. I want to get rid of the MSA 60s, however if I disconnect ANY of the four arrays, the P812 loses the ALL of logical drives on ALL of the remaining arrays., including the OS boot array. Fortunately, if I reconnect the array the all of the logical drives return and the server boots up fine. Why is this occurring and how can I remove the MSA 60s without doing a complete backup and doing a complete reinstall? Thanks!
Kevin
