Lost our PCI bus

Our Proliant 3000 server running netware 5.1 sp5 went down at 16:00 today. We did a reboot from the ilo board (power cycling the server). When the server came back up the lan drivers would not bind to the lan cards. In the system console the error message appears "warning 302: An apapter on the pci bus is disabled and cannot be used!" Went down to dos and went into the f10 system partition. The lan cards were enabled. We disabled the lan cards - saved config. We then reenabled lan card -saved config and cycled server. Same problem. Tried the cpqnf3.lan and n100.lan driver - no help.

We think this is a hardware problem. This server is at a very remote site. Does anyone have any ideas what broke?

Re: Lost our PCI bus

Someone locally needs to do the following:

1. Down server & power it off. Reseat the NIC card.

2. Verify if NIC controller banners during POST. If it does not, try a different PCI slot.

If the NIC card will not banner during POST, it has failed.

Re: Lost our PCI bus

Lan cards that were in slots 6 and 7 stopped working. We got someone to take the lan card that was in slot 6 and put it in slot 1. Worked fine after that. Looks like the second PCI bus is blown
