MEMORY ERROR IN HP DL 140 G3 SERVER

My company purcahsed HP 4GB PC2-5300 2X2GB memory kit for the HP DL140G3 server(for memory upgarde). The current memory is only 1GB(2X512MB). So when i tried to remove the old memory and populate all the 8 banks with 2GB each, it gave me an error "0281 memory size found by post differed form EISA CMOS". Also it hangs from that screen. Can somebody assist me why it's not accepting the new memory?

Many thanks it works i updated the ROM and clear the CMOS. I can see now the 16GB memory and the error disapear "error 0281". But still one problem, when the system is in the first stage of booting it gives me another different error message "02A2: BMC system error log(SEL)full. How can i fix this?

I've done it, i went to clear the log in the event viewer in the utility setup. many thanks again for your help.
