I research the MIB ok HP ProLiant DL380 G4. I haven't HP SIM installed (I have lost the installation CD's).
Where can I download them? I want to monitore the hardware states by receiving trap snmp send by ILO.
I need to have the MIB in order to translate the OID.
Thanks for your help.

Re: MIB HP Proliant G4
Can you confirm that the OID send by ILO traps, come from the MIR of the server and not from the MIR of the ILO?
The ILO card have it proper MIB? Or the traps sended wah based on the MIB of the server? Or the MIB of HP SIM?
Thank's and sorry for my english...

Re: MIB HP Proliant G4
I'm not sure if i understood you correctly...
There are two types of traps:
1) iLO traps are sent from HW agent via it's own network management interface that is not visible from OS.
2) SMH traps are sent from software agen installed during setup or later and this traps are sent via one of server's NICs.

As far as i know, traps from hardware agents and software agents have different OIDs in MIB. You can check it, just compare the MIBs from SIM.

Philipp.

Re: MIB HP Proliant G4
I will receive the ILO Traps on my monitoring server.
The HP SIM is for an another project.
Finally, I just need ILO MIB.
Thanks for your help.

Re: MIB HP Proliant G4
Well... Generally, there's two ways to get MIBs:
1) Unofficial, from sites like http://www.oidview.com/mibs/detail.html
2) Official: from HP, for example - you can take MIBs from some HP software like SIM, NNM, etc. Off course, you don't need to install this software to do it :)
Actually both ways are good, but i prefer to use official one.

Philipp.

Re: MIB HP Proliant G4
That's MIB update kit for SIM, it's quite small (4Mb) and you don't need to download full SIM just to dig MIBs out from there.

Re: MIB HP Proliant G4
The MIB of SIM is the same of the ILO?
I will analyse the ILO traps, so I need the MIB used by the ILO.
Thanks a lot for your help.
