ML 150 G6 Raid Rebuild

All,

I have a ML150 G6 with just a RAID 1 array. Everytime the machine suffers from an improper shutdown, it rebuilds the array.

The annoying part, is that it stops booting and waits for a keystroke. Press F1 to recover data or F2 to continue.

What I am wondering is, why the rebuild? Also if this is really neccessary can it at least boot backup without requiring a keystroke.

What do you mean improper. I would start by doing firmware on the server board, controller and drives. Check the event viewer for the reason for the issues.
