ML 150 G6 Replacing SAS disks
Have a customer that wants to change their current SAS disks for bigger ones, the server ha 4 SAS disks (HP 146gb) mirrored as two separate volumes, one of the volumes is almost full.
The customer has searched the web himself and found out that a WD 1TB SAS disk (non hotswap) is about 3 times cheaper that a HP 1TB hot-swap.
Hot swap is not needed, and the customer is a bit cheap.
Could i use the WD disks instead of HP disks? Can they be configured in the Raid controller?
Have sent this question to my HP reseller aswell, but they have not yet replied, so im trying here.
Best Regards
Peter
