ML 310 G5, Drives without lights

After the mainboard got replaced under warranty with some surprisingly inept phone support from costa rica, the front drive activity doesn't work anymore. Neither do the drive lights in the bays. I have checked for loose cables there appear to be none.

Server otherwise works, BUT is extra-ordinarily slow, is using the onboard RAID (RAID 1 ARRAY) which HP appear have no diagnostic software for ? I was suspicious of a disk being faulty but there seems no way to check it in this state.

Hi Aartjansen

For what you are saying, I would be convinced it is a loosen cable.

Have you tried booting from a smartstart CD? An IML log can point you to the right direction. It may confirm it is a faulty hard drive, a missing drive (loosen cable) or faulty system board.

Good luck.

The onboard array is not a SMART Array, should I expect the CD to do anything useful ?
