ML 310 G5P Sata Raid Driver Problem
I got some weird situation here.
I ordered a ML310 G5P server for a customer.
when i tried to install Windows 2003 server SBS on a raid 1 system the windows installation doesn't see any local disk, tried probably every single driver available none workt.
called HP they said i had to install it without the raid then load the Raid driver and change it back to Raid1...didnt work.
so they send a Mechanic to look at it, he's been busy for like 6 hours no success (he even changed the Motherboard, no success).
Contacted HP again, they said to send the server back to my reseller and ill get a new one send to me.
well go the new one here now but still the same problem.
the weird thing is that its saying in the Bios its a Intel82801GR controller.... but the POST is saying its a Adeptec controller.
HP cant help me further in this situation...and i guess mailing Intel to develop a new driver wont work either.
so if any one got an idea how to get this thing working in RAID1 with Windows 2003 Server SBS let me know!!
Thanks in Advance.

Re: ML 310 G5P Sata Raid Driver Problem
Case number in that time was 1605044113
forgot the mention that when we use a Windows 2003 server Enterprise edition R2 it do work.
only problem with that is that our customer got a SBS license and doesn't want to change/buy a new license, kinda understandable because it should work with every windows 2003 server edition.

Re: ML 310 G5P Sata Raid Driver Problem
this case was closed since a DOA was sent out. You can definately open a new case with us and get proper TSing.
What happens when you boot from FW CD 8.6? Can it find the controller properly?
