ML 350 G5 raid controller configuration with UBUNTU 10.10
Hello
(I am a beginner !)
I use a ML350 G5 server with Linux UBUNTU 10.10, I have 3 HDD on raid 5 for the system and I want to add 2 HDD in raid 10 for the data bases.
I have connected the 2 HDD, but I don't know how to configure the Raid controller.
I try the HP Proliant Support Pack for Ubuntu 9.04, but it not possible to install it.
Some one have a solution ?

Re: ML 350 G5 raid controller configuration with UBUNTU 10.10
Assuming that your RAID HBA is a supported HP SmartArray, you can
A) Reboot and hope that you can get ORCA's attention during the boot process
or
B) Use google and find this article:
http://www.ganesh.me/337-install-hpacucli-on-ubuntu-debian.html
Note that hpacucli is AFAICT at version hpacucli-9.30-15.0.x86_64 now; the latest version is recommended.

Re: ML 350 G5 raid controller configuration with UBUNTU 10.10
hello Anthony11
Yes it's RAID 1 !
for the "hpacucli-8.75-12.0.noarch.rpm" it's ok, but it seem that the "hpacucli-9.30-15.0.x86_64.rpm" does not exist.
Many thanks for your help !

Right here:
or
HP's download pages are really screwy and tend to hide the latest version. Always look under "revision history" and follow the link there for the latest version to get download links.
