ML 350 G6 HDD Configuration
I want to configure 3 HDD (250GB, 1TB, 1TB) in HP Proliant ML350 G6-(Smart Array P410i in Embedded Slot)
Here is what I want to do:
250 GB - Logical Drive- C:\
1 TB - Logical Drive - D:\
1 TB - Logiacl Drive - E:\
I tried using the ACU utility and ORCA as well. But it doesn't allow me to create more than 2 Physical Drive as logical drive using RAID 0 Configuration.
I want to know--- IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY TO CONFIGURE THE 3 PHYSICAL DISK as 3 LOGICAL DISK USING RAID 0 or without RAID.
Thanks in advance.

Re: ML 350 G6 HDD Configuration

you can create up to 64 logical drives.
The way you want to configure it, you would have to configure 3 separate arrays in the ACU. One for each disk.

Re: ML 350 G6 HDD Configuration
It only allows to create 2 arrays for 3 HDD I have mentioned.
Is there some settings required to be done somewhere.

Re: ML 350 G6 HDD Configuration
Isn't one array with the 250GB and one array with the two 1TB disks ok?
Then in the array with the two 1TB disks you can create two 1TB logical volumes.

After configuration,if I remove one HDD of 1TB will the other be working normally or it will not work??

Re: ML 350 G6 HDD Configuration
Maybe somebody else have any ideas but it seems like you can't configure the server with three separate arrays.
