ML 350 g6 SATA 250 GB

Hi,
I am trying install windows 2000 server(old os requirement for application), I am using windows 2000 OS boot-able,It is booting with CD, when trying to copy files , its say NO HARD DISK found. In bios i have enable boot controller-1 as SATA instead HP array controller.

How to enable the hard disk detected?

Did you also create an array with logical drives in it?

In addition, windows probably needs drivers for the SATA raid and you ahve to provide the drivers to windows externally via the F6 option during the Windows installation.

Re: ML 350 g6 SATA 250 GB

I'm sorry, but there aren't any SATA-drivers for W2K for this server.

you may need to buy a third-party controller to get it to work, as I can't find a single SATA controller in HPs current lineup with W2K drivers.

Re: ML 350 g6 SATA 250 GB

You may want to try the Win2003 32-bit drivers.

You still need to create an array and a logical drive on the embedded P410i controller before you start the windows installation and then provide the drivers via the F6 escape.
