ML 350 with SA 642

Due to many reasons I only have one drive on hand but need to get the server up and running.

Can I create a single disk array now and then when I receive additional drives, add five more drives to the array, and move the array to a RAID 5 Array?

Hi Arch:


Yes you can do that with no problems with that controller.

SA642 Firmware is 2.26

- you can expand to add the drives to the raid 0 , and then migrate.

Will work with no issues.
