Re: ML 370 G3

Hi,

This is caused by a problem with the fan logic on the system board for ML370 G3.

There is no workaround or fix once it has occured. The only remedy is to replace the motherboard. On ML370 G3 systems which are still OK you can update the system BIOS which now changes the default fan speed from low to high. This attempts to compensate for the potential problem with the fan logic occuring.

Re: ML 370 G3

Hi,

Unfortunately I don't however it's likely to be a proprietry HP chip or a programmable IC which HP does not sell as a spare.

You may have better luck on Ebay with replacement system boards.

Spare Part number 290559-001
System board with processor cage for 2.4-GHz and 2.8-GHz models

Spare Part number 316864-001
System board with processor cage for 3.06-GHz and above models

316864-001 is fully backward compatible with the older 2.4 and 2.8Ghz systems and can replace 290559-001.

I hope this helps.
