Mirror status is OK, and when I shutdown the system and remove the Disk in ID0 slot to simulate a disk failure, system doesn't boot.
I have 642 Array controller BIOS 1.92 & System BIOS P28-05/01/2004. Could anyone help.
Thanks in advance.

SolutionP.S. 1.92 firmware version of SmartArray 642 is very old, you need to use at least 2.48 version
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/revision/7584.html
"The firmware update, Version 2.48, contains critical bug fixes and is the minimum version required."

Re: ML 370 / Smart Array 642 / RAID 1 / ID 1 slot not booting
May be we should look at the boot/OS and not the hardware? Describe your "system doesn't boot".

Re: ML 370 / Smart Array 642 / RAID 1 / ID 1 slot not booting
We have upgraded the Firmware on the 642 Controller to 2.58, and we are able to boot from Disk in ID 1 slot.
Thank you for the reply, it was really helpful.
