ML 370 and a second Nic
J've install on a Proliant ML370G2 a second Network adapter (NC3123). On server is Installed Windows 2000 SP4, SQL 2000 SP3 and ISA 2000 Server SP1.
The original Network adapter (NC3163) is configured with private IP without gateway and DNS itself.
The other J've configured with Public IP.
The problem is: j cannot ping the router.
J try to disable, with the software of adapters, the team with no results.
What can J do?
Thank

Re: ML 370 and a second Nic
Hi,
Try to put a network sniffer on your 'wan' ethernet network (between your nc3123 and your router) and try to ping your router. If you don't see any ICMP frames going out, it is most likely that you have a problem with your ISA 2000 configuration.
If so, go to the ISA manager, and set rules to allow all IP trafic with no filtering at all, then try to ping again. If this is successful, you'may have to tune the ISA 2000 filters to allow only the IP traffic you need.
Sorry, I've no ISA 2000 manager here to give you the exact settins. Hope this helps...

Re: ML 370 and a second Nic
Thank
J try to ping router with ISA 2000 disable. (services stop)and J cannot ping the router. So J uninstall ISA, but the result was the same
J think to try with another Network card no Compaq.
Thank
Carlo
