ML Proliant Server 110 G4, installation of OS impossible.

Hello,
I have a problem of installation with the server HP Proliant ML 110 G4. There are two hard disks which are managed by the HP Smart Array E200i controller. They are accessible via this controller and a virtual disk is created by default with raid 1+0, visible when the controller is initialized.

Then nothing goes, I cannot install any OS, there is no disk recognized by the CD of installation.

Can you help me to understand? How can I install OS if the virtual disk is not detected at all.

Regards,

Re: ML Proliant Server 110 G4, installation of OS impossible.

Have you got a Smartstart or Setup disc with the Array Controller? If so, try installing the operating system by booting that CD first.

Otherwise you will need the drivers for the E200i controller during the setup. If it's Windows, press F6 to supply the drivers.

Get the drivers from:

Please note that you will need a USB floppy drive HP p/n: DC361B to supply the drivers. This information is available in the Worldwide quickspecs for the server.
