ML110 (1st Gen) Maximum SATA disk size?

Hello, I have a 1st generation ML110 server. It has 4 SATA drives in a built in swappable caddy. What is the maximum size disk I can install in the slots? I read that it will see up to a 250GB drive. Is there a firmware update to get it to see larger drives? If so, where can I find it? Thanks!

Re: ML110 (1st Gen) Maximum SATA disk size?

Hi,

Maximum Internal Storage for ML110(SATA Model) is 1 TB (4 x 250GB) .

There is no firmware update to have the controller see bigger drives.

Thanks for the reply. It's a shame - I was hoping I could put some larger drives in to upgrade it a bit!

Thanks.

If you have a larger SATA drive, try it. I'm pretty sure when the 1st gen was shipping 250Gb was the largest size drive available hence the spec of 4 x 250Gb drives

I have tried a Midline 750GB disk in the ML110. It doesn't show up under Windows Disk Management.
