ML110 G2 Memory Upgrade
We curently have 512mb of RAM (P/N 326316-441) and would like to upgrade adding another 1gb. I am struggling to find correct info on HP website as to what options there are and what memory is compatible with this server.
Can I use any HP memory that match the specs for this server? or does it have to be designated memory for the ML110 G2?
I have found a good deal for P/N/: 373028-051 which seems to have the right specifications but I am unsure if it will work ok. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Tom

Re: ML110 G2 Memory Upgrade
The Part 373028-051 is 512MB, PC2-3200 ECC SDRAM DIMM memory module, but this server supports PC3200 ECC DDR-SDRAM DIMM.
I would not suggest you to buy 373028-051 for ML110G2 server.
You could go for the parts suggested by Igor Karasik.

Raj.

Re: ML110 G2 Memory Upgrade
I just want to verify whether you want to add another 1GB memory or do you want to add another 512MB to make the memory configuration to 1GB on the server.
The P/N/: 373028-051 is for a 512MB,PC3200,64MX8 memory.
If you are planning to add another 1GB memory module that is tested and supported by this server then you may wants to check these as well:
P/N: 326317-451 SPS-MEM DIMM,1GB,DDR,PC3200
Hope this answers!!!!
Regards,
rmn

Re: ML110 G2 Memory Upgrade
I have found the following for sale and it is claimed that it is compatible with our server. I realise it is slower (PC2700) but the price is about half of everywhere else and we really need to get the best deal! Could someone please verify that this will work before I purchase?
HP Part number 331561-041 2X 512Mb Dimms
512MB PC2700 333Mhz DDR CL.2.5 ECC Registered SDram Memory Module. Compatible with Proliant ML350 G4, DL360 G4, ML110 G2, ML150 G2
Thanks,
Tom

Re: ML110 G2 Memory Upgrade
Assembly to Spare Part Number Memory Matrix, quite handy alongwith the quick specs.

Re: ML110 G2 Memory Upgrade
Memory Guidelines for ML110G2
The following guidelines must be followed when memory modules are being added or replaced:
* Use only DDR1-400 unbuffered ECC and non-ECC DIMMs in 256-MB, 512-MB, or 1-GB configuration.
* Use only PC2100 and PC3200 (266 MHz/400 MHz) DIMMs
* Up to two DIMMs per channel, single-sided and/or double-sided. Channel A corresponds to the DIMM1 and DIMM2 slots, while channel B corresponds to the DIMM3 and DIMM4 slots.
While the four DIMM slots can accept different size DIMMs in any configuration, HP recommends installing the smallest capacity module in slot 4 and progressively larger capacity modules in slots 3, 2 and 1.
* Memory modules must be populated for dual-channel operation.
Memory Specifications
