ML110 G3 RAID 1 lost because bios reset to default values
We have a HP Proliant ML110 G3 with SBS 2003 installed on it with two SATA drives 80G.
The OS was installed on RAID 1 array configured with the embedded HP SATA controller. The IDE options in the BIOS was set to "enhanced" and SATA as "RAID".
Recently, the server has rebooted and prompt to type F1 to load default values for bios, then the user who was not IT person typed F1 and since we can see two drive in windows : C: and E:. The RAID configuration seems to be lost.
When i checked the bios, the SATA option was set to IDE, not to RAID as i configured it originally.
What can i do? i am afraid that if i set the option back to RAID, the server would not boot.
Thank you for help

Re: ML110 G3 RAID 1 lost because bios reset to default values
hi
the only thing that can happen is you can get a blue screen but I don't think so
so change the values back again I mean to RAID
nothing to loose
regards

Re: ML110 G3 RAID 1 lost because bios reset to default values
Hi,
There's no risk at all in setting back to RAID.
I have done it on a ML110 G3.
Actually I've successfully installed Win 2003 according to the method in the following thread (see James ~ Happy Dude's post on Jul 27, 2007 18:39:57 GMT).
