ML110 G4 + RHEL 4 = no disk available

I'm trying to setup this system with RAID1 configuration, running on linux.
The system has Intel ICH7R chipset, 2 disks and on the BIOS configuration I kept the original settings (no RAID) to test the setup procedure.
When I try to install linux, I got a message stating no disk is available for setup. I try to use drivers available on the shipped CD and also those at
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/1116_6309.html
but I got no result, even if I enable RAID and I create a RAID volume on the BIOS.
If I try to setup Win2003, it can see the two disks.

Regards

IF windows setup can see the disks, it is clear that you have a driver problem.

when there is no raid configuration, if you can not see the disks then you can have a problem about scsi adapter driver.

Did you try both raid and scsi hardware drivers for RHEL?
And did you try firmware upgrade for cards?

Re: ML110 G4 + RHEL 4 = no disk available

I've tried all Storage Controller drivers available on the site with no result.
The system uses an Embedded SATA RAID Controller and I can't find firmware upgrades on the HP site for this: is there a link where I can download it?
Thanks

IF your disks are SATA, you have to load them during OS setup.

If you dont have drivers of your SATA disks(they are shipped with disks) you can download them and load during setup.

Re: ML110 G4 + RHEL 4 = no disk available

it is a driver issue with the product. I would suggest you to go through the controller vendor driver site, if possible. i have tried in older ML serious it worked for.

This is due to driver so look for driver but not from hp site, but from controller vendor site.
