Re: ML110 G5 CPU E2160: fan permanently full speed
Hi - I also have the same problem with Fan noise. It worked fine right up until i changed the bios from a 2008 version to a 2010 version. Ok i am running a non supported OS (Windows 7 ultimate) but it was working fine before the bios update. i am wishing i could turn back time but cannot. I had installed the server 2008 x64 drivers on it which had been working fine. when i installed the latest bios it then reinstalled all the system driver bar 1 an ACPI driver and when i try to install the server 2008 x64 driver it tells me my OS is not supported. i understand that the OS it is not supported but it did work and now it doesnt. there must be a way round it. The reason i am using it as a PC is because HP were doing an offer some years ago selling these for a mere £100 which was an opportunity too good to pass up.
any help greatly appreciated as cannot use it as is too loud
