ML110 G5 + DLT-V4 Sata Drive

i've installed a Quantum DLT-V4 onto the 6th SATA port, but cant write/erase the tapes.

I've used the quantum diagnostic tool and it complains that the drive is running in legacy mode - I have used their technote to set the secondary SATA channel to DMA mode if available - it reports its in PIO mode.

I've tried setting the BIOS to use DMA - but no success.

Is there something else I need to do to force the BIOS to run this channel/controller in DMA mode.

I'm hoping to avoid having to use the USB-to-SATA adapter.
