ML110 G5 Processor upgrade

Hi everyone. First, i apologize if this question was asked,

I have HP ML110 G5 server with E2160 intel processor. I need VT. Can i upgrade processor to E7500? ( this one currently i have )

E7400 is on supported processor list, and E7500 is very similiar to this proc..

well, updated rom, installed, and it worked

Hi-

 

I'm also looking at getting an E7500 (for VT), can't source the E7400 any more.  Is your server perfectly fine ? I read somewhere before that with CPU's not listed as supported, that the CPU fan would spin only at full speed.
