ML110 G5 SERVER DEAD SLOW AFTER UPGRADING RAM

Hello everyone,
I have recently bought a HP proliant ML 110 G5 server which comes along with the Xeon processor.

It seems to be extremely slow.
I have even upgraded the ram to 4GB.
Yet,it doesn't make a significant difference.
I dont understand why it is slow.
I also have other HP ML110 servers like G3 AND G4 which seem to work faster compared to this server.

At times,I also have network disconnection and I suspect its due to the servers poor performance.
Please guide me...Could there be possibly something wrong with the hardware?
As far as the OS is concerned,It has just been installed...

I missed the word "even" on the subject.
It seems slow even after upgrading the ram.

I've bought the RAM also from HP.

1. one important thing which is the OS?

2. it's slow how? copying files in HDDs? when you open an application it takes very long? copying files to/from the network?

3. also I would like to know which controller server is using? which RAID level?
