ML110 G7 Base : Compatibility with Windows 7

Hello,

I would like to install Windows 7 64 bits on HP ProLiant ML110 G7 Base with this configuraition :

- 8 TB RAID 10 (4 * 2 TB)

- 16 GB RAM

- 1GB Video card

It's a really specific server for video recording and video visualization that's why we don't need OS like Windows 2008 Server R2.

Is it possible to install it on this server?

ML110 G7 has HP Embedded Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller and for the controller to detect hard drivers you would need drivers specfic to the OS , their are no windows 7 drivers available on HP Site for B110i controller

I used the Win 2008 R2 driver with Win 7 professional 64 bit and it worked.

Installing Windows 7 Pro x64.

My solution:

1. Get last version driver for HP ProLiant Smart Array SATA Controller Driver for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 x64 and "Extract" in USB flash drive;

2. From "Most viewed solutions for HP ProLiant ML110 G7 Server series" follow this "HP ProLiant Servers - Error While Installing Microsoft Windows 2008 R2: Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition."
