Couple of pre-purchase questions:

Is the single drive (160GB) version supplied with all (4) the hot-swap caddies?

Will the sata raid controller (Promise SX-4??) handle array expansion?

Is the system board ATX form factor?

I wouldn't be surprised if HP hadn't re-worked the firmware on the Promise card, possibly removing anything useful!
Cynical view possibly but not too unrealistic, particularly with the mention of unusable motherboard SATA connectors, disabled in the bios.

Thanks for the speedy reply - afraid it doesn't really help much though. Another forum source said the ML110 does NOT come with the necessary hardware (hot-swap caddies) to support additional 3rd party drives. Without these my purchase of the ML110 is a no-go I'm afraid. I don't want to end up with a cheap server that costs a fortune to upgrade to a sensible disk spec.
