ML110G5 windows 2008R2 reboots

hi. Troubles with ML110G5 when RAID controller enabled in BIOS windows 2008 reboot in cycle. But when RAID controller is disabled it's all ok. Windows have BSOD with Stop 0x0000007B error and then ML110G5 restarts.

Hello Gremlin,

Sorry i am not clear if you are trying to enable RAID controller with existing operation system or is it new installation.

if this is new installation this issue is due to the controller drivers refer the following threads for ways to install the operating system:

http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/ProLiant-Servers-ML-DL-SL/Proliant-ML110-G5-Embedded-RAID-BSOD-loading-Windows-2003/m-p/5102538#M118947

http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/ProLiant-Servers-ML-DL-SL/ML110-G5-embedded-SATA-RAID/m-p/4544850#M97271

if the operating system already installed and you are trying to enable RAID.. i do not think this is good idea, as making changed to RAID will erase data on hard drives.

However, you may try the options given on the following discussion:

if you have this issue with the initial installation, please let me know the process of the installation which you are following.

Re: ML110G5 windows 2008R2 reboots

7B is boot loader error. Did you do the firmware on the server before installing 2008? server board, drives, controller? Do you have all the latest drivers? Is 2008 compatible with ML110 G5?

Re: ML110G5 windows 2008R2 reboots

You need to create the RAID from the ACU on post up.

Re: ML110G5 windows 2008R2 reboots

ACU from EasyCD? It show me "no controllers found", but RAID controller enabled in BIOS and I create RAID in HP raid tool(F8 on boot)

Re: ML110G5 windows 2008R2 reboots

You need to load the drivers for EasyCD to work with the controller. Do it from Post ACU
