ML110G7 - Add Hotswap PSU + HP - RPS G7 4U Enablement Kit
Hi ALL
I have the ML110G7 server and am wanting to put a bigger PSU into it to support 3 more disc drives in the 5.25" bays. I am looking at the G7 enablement kit however its hard to work out if after installing the Enablement kit, can I still put 2 drives into the 5.25" bays ?
From the diagrams I've seen its hard to work out how long the kit is and what space there may or may not be between it and the pre-installed DVD drive.
This is the unit I want to put into the 5.25" bays

Anyone had experience with the Enablement kit ?
Thanks Pete

The hard drive cage is 4U form factor. If the unit referred to by you is 4U form factor, then it should be a fit. Refer to the unit’s documentation for further information.

Re: ML110G7 - Add Hotswap PSU + HP - RPS G7 4U Enablement Kit
Hi There...
The drive cage will fit into the 2x5.25" bays, thats not the issue. What I'm concerned about is that after installing the hot-swap power supply upgrade, the upgrade utilises part of the bottom 5.25" bay....can you confirm....
I too am a HP employee but our documentation isnt clear :-)
Thankyou..Peter
