ML115 G5 BMC Responding

I have an ML115 G5. During startup the following message is displayed :

BMC Responding
607-System Event Log Full

What is the meaning of this, and how do I view and clear the event log ?

Re: ML115 G5 BMC Responding

Hi Jhon,

SOLUTION:
If the above message appears during POST, perform the following steps to run BIOS setup and delete the System Event Log:
1. Boot the server and press the F10 key when prompted to run BIOS Setup.
2. Select the "Advanced" menu.
3. Scroll down to "IPMI" and press the ENTER key
4. Scroll down to the System Event Log and press the ENTER key.
5. At the "Clear System Event Log" selection, press the ENTER key to toggle between "Enable" and "Disable."
6. Select "Enable."
7. Press the F10 key to Save the changes and exit the BIOS Setup.

Regards.
Kind Regards,
Erdogan.

Re: ML115 G5 BMC Responding

Hi John,
No big thing to worry.
This server has limited storage on chip to log hardware errors.
This message indicate that log is full and needs to be cleaned.
You can use above steps to do it manually.
However, System BIOS is revised to clear it automatically
Install latest BIOS to avoid it in future
