ML115 G5 Netware and NIC install
Can anyone tell me how to install Netware 6.5 on this server. I cannot get it to recognise the NIC. I believe I need to run cp009009.nlm to support the NIC but cant see how to make that available during the install from an ISO disc. I have just downloaded NW65.SP7 and have yet to try that but earlier copy doesn't recognise the built-in Gigabit nic. Thanks.

Re: ML115 G5 Netware and NIC install
The Netware 6.5 SP7 CD recognises the NIC but stops responding during install. I read elsewhere that the 2007 dated Q57.LAN causes hangs and I realise the cp009009.nlm includes a later one but I don't know how to slipstream that or cp007574.nlm, cp007607.NLM, cp007609.NLM, cp008314.nlm, or cp008454.nlm for that matter into the install. They are all part of SP40282.exe. I think that the install stops responding before the NIC drive is loaded anyway. Still struggling...

Re: ML115 G5 Netware and NIC install
"Solved" the problem.
Installed from NW66SP7 CD. The defaults then work except that the machine hangs when the 2nd processor kicks in.
Solution:
Restrict the server to a single processor using:
set auto start processors = off
in startup.ncf.
Server then works fine. I'll now apply updated HP NLMs and see if I can then turn the 2nd processor back on.
By the way server is Dual Code Opteron based.
