ML115 G5 - PCI Slot

Am I missing something very simple ?

I have recently purchased 3 ML115 G5 servers and am wanting to install 1 standard PCI card in each

The cards have - looking at the component side of the boards, a cutout at the bottom righthand side about 15 mm from the righthand edge

In the server the cutouts appear to be at the left.

Confused!

Hoping that someone can help

Hi Ian,

this is spec of ML115G5 and if you want to install card into server yuo must fisrt check card compatibillity.

Expansion Slots:
Slot 1: PCI 32-bit/33MHz PCI at 3.3V
Slot 2: PCI-Express x1 connector with x1 link
Slot 3: PCI-Express x8 connector with x8 link
Slot 4: PCI-Express x16 connector with x16 link

Now, check which adapter you have and which slot is available for it. If is?

The pci cctv cards that I have are all pci 2.3 hence the cutouts are at the opposite end
