ML150 G2 CPU - 1 x Hyperthread maxed out
Our software guys are setting up a new server, with Win2K3 server software, HP drivers, latest Bios etc, but once the OS is up, they have a problem where one of the hyperthreads is showing as maxed out. They have reistalled the OS twice, but have the same problem. There is nothing but the OS running. The server responce seems ok, but they don't want to hand the server over to the customer with this problem - Any assistance would be appreciated.

Re: ML150 G2 CPU - 1 x Hyperthread maxed out
Would that happened also with W2K? Is HT enabled at BIOS level ?

Re: ML150 G2 CPU - 1 x Hyperthread maxed out
I found cause of the problem, it was the HP T700 UPS that was connected via the serial port. The UPS had raised pin 9 (Ring Indicate) permanently, even without the UPS software loaded. We tried a bunch of things to disable this pin, but eventually just cut off pin 9 on the cable.
