ML150 G2 - How to configure RAID1 in BIOS

I have an ML150 G2 Server. When I try to configure my two 1T SATA harddisks to RAID1, I find that there are only RAID0 and RAID0+1 (or RAID1+0, I cannot remember) options in the B110i configuration utility. How can I configure my two disks as RAID1? Or the server does not support this option? Thanks.

Re: ML150 G2 - How to configure RAID1 in BIOS

Hi Xuefei,

I believe it will be RAID 1+0, as RAID 0+1 required minimum of 4 disks.

RAID 1+0 is the option you are looking for. It will provide the benefits of RAID 1, with added benefits of RAID 0 (mostly performance).

A quick reference to RAID levels can be found on the wikipedia page here:

Hope this helps.

Re: ML150 G2 - How to configure RAID1 in BIOS

Hi Taha,

Thanks a lot.

But I have another problem. I have three SATA harddisks. I setup two disks as RAID1, and leave one disk for Linux system installation. I used hpahcisr driver disk in the Linux installation process, but I just found the RAID and could not find the single disk for system. How can I resolve this problem?

Thanks.
