Re: ML150 G3 2nd CPU, NO BOOT
CPU-A works in slot one.
CPU-B works in slot one.
No Boot = CPU-A in slot1, and CPU-B in slot2
No Boot = CPU-B in slot1, and CPU-A in slot2
I haven't reset the CMOS, but I did re-flash the ROM, which I assume reset everything to default.
I have opened a technical request with HP. I'll report any results from that here.

Re: ML150 G3 2nd CPU, NO BOOT
I order one defective processor from a server with two processors.I tried to find
a processor with the same stepping number ( Intel have 3 processors with the same caracteristics but with diffrent stepping number).HP offer only one part number for that processor. So when i receave the processor ofcourse they do not match.
What can i do?
I ordered another one so i have a pair and i resolved the problem!

Re: ML150 G3 2nd CPU, NO BOOT
2007.09.22 which allowed one 5345 CPU to
work. When I add the second 5345 the fans just run at high speed and no post. Both
CPU's test good in the first socket.

Re: ML150 G3 2nd CPU, NO BOOT
I checked the stepping.
I think I looked through all bios settings.
Let me add that support for this problem has been awful from HP and my opinion of their products and service has dropped way down.
