ML150 G3 8 port SAS Controller
I was just wondering if anyone know whether there is a Windows based management solution for the "HP 4/8 Internal Port SAS HBA with RAID".
For the Sata Raid you have the HP Storage Manager, but that doesnt detect this card. I have also tried the ACU downloaded from HP under the ML150 downloads, but that will not detect this card either.
So is there a way to manage/get alerts/reconfigure this raid device from windows 2003?
Many Thanks.

Re: ML150 G3 8 port SAS Controller
Is this a SAS model Or SATA ?
I think, you need a cable http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12527_div/12527_div.html#Options
look under storage controllers.
Regards.

Re: ML150 G3 8 port SAS Controller
in fact the HP 4/8 Internal Port SAS HBA is
manifactured by Adaptec. You can try their software:

Kind regards,
Danail

Re: ML150 G3 8 port SAS Controller
Thanks for that. The Raid controller was actually a LSI 3000 8-port with 1068.
So in line with your thinking I checked the LSi website and found that the MegaRAID Storage Manager for SAS works with that controller. This can be found at http://www.lsi.com/storage_home/products_home/standard_product_ics/sas_ics/lsisas1068/index.html?remote=1&locale=EN
Many Thanks to all.

Re: ML150 G3 8 port SAS Controller
I also have an ML150 G3 with the same HBA and have been concerned about inability to monitor the RAID status during normal.
It struck me as quite an oversight on the part of HP to deliver a SAS HBA without any management software.
Thanks for raising this issue on the forum & unearthing a solution.
Let us know if you found any issues with the MSM software.
Cheers & happy Christmas!
