ML150 G3 - ONE CPU in SOCKET 2
I have another post going that tells the full story, so long story short.
My ML150 G3 with Xeon 5120 has damaged CPU contacts that look like they are causing resets.
I am thinking of getting a Xeon Quad Core 5335 to put in the SECOND socket and leaving SOCKET ONE EMPTY.
Does anyone know if this will work ok. CPU is on the supported list but not sure if it is ok to have just one CPU in the second socket

Re: ML150 G3 - ONE CPU in SOCKET 2
That can or CAN'T be done?
I CAN'T put a CPU in socket one as it "may be damaged" and is causing a resets

Re: ML150 G3 - ONE CPU in SOCKET 2
it can not be done. Socket 1 it's the boot socket.
so if socket bad is bad and causes damage to CPUs you need to replace System board
