ML150 G5 with Windows Server 2008 /w Hyper-V freezes

Hello!

I have brand new installation of server with W2K8 and enabled Hyper-V.

Randomly server freezes and red light for general system health lights up on front panel.

There is nothing in event log. There are a lot of entries in IPMI log which I found in BIOS.

I boot with diagnostics CD and there are no entries in that log.

I performed complete test with diagnostics CD and it passed 100%.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Best regards, Peter

Re: ML150 G5 with Windows Server 2008 /w Hyper-V freezes

I removed NCU but the problem stays. This is 2 x Quad Core Xeon 5405, 10GB RAM (the same was with 2 GB and 6 GB) and 4 x 72 GB SAS HDD.

I fear that this is something with LSI storage controller driver. But how would it be possible do diagnose this?

Re: ML150 G5 with Windows Server 2008 /w Hyper-V freezes

I borrowed different storage controller instead of 4-port SAS HBA that was included (P400/256).
Since then, server never froze. So obviously driver for storage controller (HP 4/8 Internal Port SAS HBA with RAID and SCxxGe series HBA Driver for Windows Server 2008 x64 Editions, version 1.28.2.1) is not really reliable.
