ML150 G6 With HP Smart Array B110i storage controller - HOW TO SET RAID 1?

Hi,

I recently bought an HP Server ML150 G6 along with:

2 x HP SAS 146 GB 15000 RPM 3.5" LFF  Hard disks

2 x Seagate SATA 250 GB 7200 RPM Hard disks

I am trying to activate the RAID 1 using the storage controller SMart Array B110i.

I have followed the "HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller User Guide" (attached) for activating RAID with no luck.

I have activated the RAID functionality on the RBSU (F10 during start up)

Tried setting the RAID using Array config utility (F8 after the controller initialized) with no luck, when I tried to create a logical drive, it keeps saying no physical drive available (I have connected the 2 identical hard drives)

Then I tried setting the RAID using LSI Corp Config Utility, Got it synchonized and the RAID array status is optimal. WHen I check it using Easy setup CD (diagnostic) it still says 0 physical and 0 logical hard drives.

Can anyone help me?

Does B110i Storage controller support SAS LFF 3.5" hard drives?

Would someone show me how to correctly set up RAID 1 on the controlelr and how to test it? Any software tool?

Why does the array config utility does not detect any of my hard drives (SAS / SATA alike)?
