ML150 G9 w/ H240 HBA can't boot from HDD
Hi!
I'm struggling to get my new ML150 G9 to boot from the hard drive. I managed to install CentOS 7.1 without much trouble both in Legacy BIOS and UEFI mode but then after I reboot it claims there are no bootable drives. I have only the single drive connected. I tried unplugging all USB devices, no luck.
The machine has H240 controller (*not* B140i which seems more common) and it's set to HBA mode. When I enter the SSA tool the disk is set as uninitialized but I guess that's normal for non-RAID configuration.
The Intelligent Provisioning tool sounds like a fine idea but CentOS doesn't seem supported.

Re: ML150 G9 w/ H240 HBA can't boot from HDD
I installed CentOS on a pendrive and upgraded System ROM and Storage Controller Firmware.
That solved it! System boots from hard drives like it should.
