ML150, Win Server 2008, LSI_SAS error
I have ML150 G5 with Windows server 2008. 1x CPU, 4 GB RAM, 1x 250 GB SATA, no RAID, LSI SATA RAID integrated controller.
Server shutdowns repeatedly once or two times per day. After reboot, harddrive is not detected. I have to power off the server, wait a minute and power on.
I tried to run offline diagnostics, everything was OK. I checked firmware and drivers versions, everything is up to date. The system has all the latest patches.
There are one error and one warning in system event log in OS:
- error - LSI_SAS - The driver detected a controller error on \Device\RaidPort0.
- warning - LSI_SAS - Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued.
Any suggestions please?
Otherwise, I am going to decide to exchange the server motherboard.
Thank you in advance.

Re: ML150, Win Server 2008, LSI_SAS error
the server is running OK for two days now. We replaced the power supply only. So it seems good, but there are still two events in the OS's event log as mentioned in the first post - one error and one warning. I am not sure if I can ignore it or if there is still something wrong with the server.
So if there is no idea about that event log events, 7 points for you Karlo and I am going to close this thread.

Re: ML150, Win Server 2008, LSI_SAS error
So here is the warning:
Log Name: System
Source: LSI_SAS
Date: 23.7.2008 2:00:25
Event ID: 129
Level: Warning
Computer: TS08
Description:
Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued.
and the error:
Log Name: System
Source: LSI_SAS
Date: 23.7.2008 2:00:26
Event ID: 11
Level: Error
Computer: TS08
Description:
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\RaidPort0.
I did not realize any time continuity.
Thanks
