ML150, howto switch on auto boot after power failure
Hi,
We have 3 x ML150 servers of which one will auto boot after power failure, the other two will not. Where or how in the system setup can I switch this feature on in the ones that do not auto boot?
Regards,
Jasmine Davis

Re: ML150, howto switch on auto boot after power failure
Hi Jasmine,
I believe the setting(s) you may be looking for lie within the BIOS setup utility.
Use the system which is working OK first to check the ACPI values in the BIOS as follows.
Enter the BIOS setup by pressing the DEL key when prompted at bootup.
From the menu choose ACPI
Take a note of the settings for the various fields which are: -
ACPI AWARE O/S
ACPI ADVANCED
AFTER POWER FAIL
POWER SWITCH INSTANT OFF
The "After Power Fail" value is probably different between the servers but others may be different too.
Exit the setup on this working server and check one of the other ones. Set this to be the same as the machine you checked.
Hopefully this will fix it.
Regards,
Brian
