Hi,
I have ML30 Gen10.
In four caddy I have 4x WD 4TB installed in RAID5.
I have a Samsung Pro 860 256GB SSD connected to port 5
I have a Samsung Pro 860 256GB SSD connected to port 6
SSDs are set to RAID1. The software RAID is based on the HP S100.
I have installed Windows Server 2019 Standard.
I created a partition in RAID5. Size 10.8TB
I am trying to format this partition.
I select quick formatting.
Nothing has happened for 20 minutes.
The drive is still not formatted.
Is it normal?
Can I use this disk configuration on this server?
Solved! Go to Solution.

Re: ML30 Gen10 - 2x256GB SSD, 4x4TB HDD
Steps.
1. Go to server manager- File and storage services-disk.
Check the created raid online or not if not initialise the status from offline to online.
Formatting taking time depend on initialisation.
