ML310 Hardware RAID not recognizing 200gig hard drives

Is there any way I can get the Integrated raid controller to recognise 200gig hardrives. It will only report them as 137gig, and as a result the Operating system will only report them as 137gig as well. I have updated to the latest motherboard BIOS release with no effect. I cannot find any firmware upgrade on the HP site for the Integrated RAID controller BIOS, and the BIOS release from LSI Logic Corp will not install because the controller is integrated into the ML310's motherboard. Please Help

Hello Thomas,
This is OS limitation. I have a 200Gig myself and had to partition it.

Re: ML310 Hardware RAID not recognizing 200gig hard drives

Hi

The ML310 is only supported with 80Go Drives ( as far as I know http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11446_div/11446_div.HTML#Storage )

I have allready experienced this issue with a customer who had installed 180Go drives and the Raid controller was only seeing 137Go

I don't know if this is a Bios limitation or a RAID Bios limitation
