ML310 gen8 - boot into safe mode after service pack failure
After a ms service pack my server boots up and tries to install the service pack. It gets to 100% of stage 1 and then reboots and it starts again.
I can not log in and I do not know how to get it into safe mode. There is no F8 option as in Win10 that would give me boot options.
The server is a ML310 gen 8 with Raid 0
I can get it to boot to cd\dvd but this does not allow access to see the hard drive.
Any ideas welcome. I just do not want to have to rebuild.
Thank You
Gary

Re: ML310 gen8 - boot into safe mode after service pack failure
Hi Gary,
We checked and Win10 is not listed as a supported version of operating system and this is the possiblity that you are not getting option for F8-safe mode. However you can perform a power drain of the server and then try. If still not able to boot post this then would recommend you to re-install with supported version of operating system. Please see below links to check for supported version of OS for this server:-

You can simultaneously check with Microsoft team on how to recover from this since it happened after MS service pack upgrade.
