ML310 "Unsupported PCI Device" Error

Hey can anyone help me with this. A brand new server out of the box. When an additional PCI NIC is installed the server will not POST and produces the above error along with "System Halted".
Any ideas anyone please.

Re: ML310 "Unsupported PCI Device" Error

Hi Gary

NIC may be faulty. Please see if you can plug this card in one of PCs in your environment for testing.

Re: ML310 "Unsupported PCI Device" Error

Thanks to all who have responded,i now have a couple of things to try and consider.
The 2nd NIC i am attempting to install is a new 3Com Gigabit NIC provided by the supplier of the server. It is likely that they are unaware of any incompatibility issues as they have been unable to provide assistance.
Again thanks to all who have taken the time to respond.
