I'm trying to Change the sequence of the Boot Controllder Order from
Ctlr: 1 Compaq 64-bit Dual Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter Port 1
Ctlr: 2 Compaq Integrated PCI IDE Controller
Ctlr: 3 Compaq 64-bit Dual Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter Port 2
to
Ctlr: 1 Compaq Integrated PCI IDE Controller
Ctlr: 2 Compaq 64-bit Dual Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter Port 1
Ctlr: 3 Compaq 64-bit Dual Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter Port 2
but,
I can only swap between Ctlr1 and Ctlr 3 and Ctlr2 can never be changed.
Can someone pls tell me why?
Thanks a lot.
Po-Shan.

Re: ML330 BIOS setup - Boot Controller Order
Dear James,
I'm assuming the Port 2 is the second SCSI port on the SCSI card (it's named Channel 2 on the card).
Yes, it's available and it's enabled.
I am trying to move IDE to the first Boot Controller Order. Shall this matter if Port 2 is used?
Thanks.
Po-Shan.

Re: ML330 BIOS setup - Boot Controller Order
I am having a similar problem with my ML310 G4 server.
I have a PATA IDE drive that I want to use to boot from but I am not able to get the BIOS to move it into the first position ahead of the integrated SATA controller.
I have a feeling that its not possible without buying a third party IDE controller.
As for why this is, I don't know.
