ML330 G2 boot on ide internal controller

Hey ,

I've purchase 3 ML330 G2 proliant compaq server , these are fitted with an multi controller card , such as ethernet , video , and IDE RAID Controller.
I've tried to connect the disk on the primary i/o ide controller on mother board , configured the bios , to disable IDE RAID controller and set the i/o ide controller on mother board as the primary boot controller.

But it doesn't work , OS ( Linux ) system intalled corectly and see as the /dev/hda disk , lilo installed on boot track ( or MBR track ) .
At the boot , message is : no system disk .
I've defined the disk with only one partition , supressing the compaq diags tools on the dedicated partition , but with no more
results .

Is somebody tried something like that, or is there any method to declared the primary controller on mother board as the primary boot controller without disabling the IDE RAID controller ?

Thanks for your help

Have a nice day
Steph

Dear Steph,

Did you ever work this out?
I can't get the IDE to work as default boot either.

Any tips?
