ML330 G2 methods to silent system fan?
Hello I recently got a ML 330 G2. Still a nice computer, but annoying fan. I went out to the shop and bought a 92mm with 12dB and hooked it on the 3pin cpu fan. The machine would start but I would get a "IMI" -morse code [.. - - ..], just started to download and read the manuals and haven't found a solution yet.
Has someone managed to change the fan on the system? Is it mandatory to have it on the 5-pin system board fan-connector? If, yes, is it possible to attach a 3 pin fan there?
Are there any software methods to system from high speed faning?
Every answer appreciated

Re: ML330 G2 methods to silent system fan?
The only logic we can place behind the installation of PSPs is that they contain various system management & health drivers.
Sometimes having the latest version of firmware also helps. Using a firmware maintenance disc can help save time by installing all available firmware updates.
(version 7.50 being the latest for this server)

Here is the link where you can download the latest Proliant Support Packs for your Operating system.
