On an ML300 G3 server running two scsi HDD system C is 36 gig and Data drive E is 73gig.
The data drive E is quite full and has noisy bearings now, I would like to change it over for a larger drive before it fails. The bios version is D15 dated 11/01/2003. What is the largest size replacement scsi drive I can install with this bios version please ?

Solution
Hi Rbrow,
ML330 G3 surely supports 300 GB hot plug or 146 GB non-hot plug Hard Drive
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11614_div/11614_div.HTML#Storage
However, There is a bug fix in BIOS Version: 2005.08.01 (9 Aug 2005) regarding hard drive size:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=316573&swItem=MTX-UNITY-I23806&prodNameId=3279701&swEnvOID=181&swLang=8&taskId=135&mode=5
Fixes
Updated LSI IDE RAID Option ROM to Version 2707211610. This Option ROM together with LSICSB6.SYS driver version after 4.1.730.2003 addresses an issue where the RAID volume would not work properly with drives greater than 132GB in Microsoft Windows environment. The LSICSB6.SYS driver version after 4.1.730.2003 should be available later on in the year and a download link will be added here.
Resolved an issue with the LSI IDE RAID Option ROM where the server will not boot when large ( > 512 GB) logical units are created.
